MISSION
The Resilient Theatre Project restores wellbeing in American theater through culture-shifting conversation and mental health skill-building for theater makers on and off stage.
VISION
We envision a cultural shift in which the wellbeing of artists, makers, staff, and leadership is as essential to theater as the art itself, allowing the show to go on without harm to those who make it possible.
THE SHOW MUST GO ON...
...without harm to those who make it possible
At the Resilient Theatre Project, we envision a thriving theater community where every maker onstage, backstage, and beyond is supported, valued, and resilient. We envision a cultural shift in which the wellbeing of artists, makers, staff, and leadership is as essential to theater as the art itself, allowing the show to go on without harm to those who make it possible.

The Resilient Theatre Project exists to strengthen the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of theater makers so they can continue creating the stories that shape our shared humanity.

HOW WE BUILD A RESILIENT THEATRE
Through conversation, advocacy, community-building, and direct support, RTP works to ensure that the show can go on, but not at the cost of the people who make it.
We bring together artists, creators, leaders, advocates, and supporters to:

1.
Name and address the systems that exhaust and endanger creative communities.

2.
Share tools, stories, and strategies that foster sustainability and care.

3.
Connect resources and providers to theatres in need of tangible, tailored support.

4.
Champion theater-making that values health and empathy, alongside artistry and excellence.
